My pet hamster Heather is totally lovely! She is white, but not albino, which is strange, but cute. Heather is a Syrian hamster and fits in my hand perfectly. I got her for Christmas from my friend, she is the best gift EVER and is so tame. I would definately recommend them as pets for any children 7+. They would be fine for younger children too, but only with parental supervision.

My friend got her for me as a Christmas present from a pet shop, I don't know which one but we live in England so probably Pets At Home. I should ask her but for now I can't tell you. We got my last hamster from a friends accidental litter, though.
Tips and Tricks
- She poops in one corner of her cage
- She will come when I say her name (this took a few weeks to master)
- She can walk to the end of my middle finger, turn around and walk up my arm till she reaches my shoulder!
