Question: What is the Lifespan of a Pet Skunk?
Answer:

In the wild, skunks are reported to live about five years.

In captivity though, a pet skunk will live, on average, six to ten years. Some reports of twenty year old skunks have been made, but large rescue facilities (such as Skunk Haven) are still sticking to the six to ten year lifespan.

The longer life in captivity is assuming proper skunk care and nutrition is provided and that there is no chance for predators to attack.
