Placing a Small to Medium Sized Rabbit Down after Picking Him Up

By , About.com Guide

Added on May 7 2008

Once you have picked up your rabbit, placing him or her back down can be tricky. Often, the anticipation of being back on solid ground (where most rabbits prefer to be) can make a rabbit struggle to try to get down. It is especially important at this point to firmly support both the front and hind end, and if you think your rabbit is about to jump out of your arms, crouch down as quickly as possible to minimize the distance your rabbit will have to jump. This video shows how to place a smaller rabbit back down after holding your bunny.
