Roborovski Hamsters Using Their Wheel

Here are a couple of Roborovski hamsters sharing an exercise wheel. Watching how fast their little legs move gives you an idea of how fast these little dwarf hamsters can run! Being able to excercise on a wheel such as this is very important for hamsters. This size of wheel is only appropriate for very small hamsters such as Roborovski hamsters (it would be much too small for a Syrian hamster). It's also important to note that Roborovskis and other dwarf hamsters are social, so unlike Syrian hamsters, it is okay to have more than one in a cage as long as they get along with each other.
