Find a Veterinarian that will Treat Exotic Pets

Finding a skilled vet for exotic pets might not be easy, but is necessary

I get lots of Email asking about health issues, some very serious. As much as I would like to help, it is virtually impossible to do so via Email; if you think your pet is sick or injured you need to get him or her to a veterinarian. It may not be easy to find a vet to see your exotic pets, but in most cases you should be able to find someone. Obviously, a vet that specializes in exotics is ideal, but that may not be an option for you. Don't give up though: chances are you can find a vet that has some interest and experience with exotics, or at least one who is willing to see your pet and do the research or consultations necessary to treat your pet. Don't underestimate how important it is to find such a vet before an emergency situation crops up.
