Kunekune are related to pot bellied pigs and are from New Zealand. The majority of people who breed kunekune are located in New Zealand but a few others can be found outside of the island.
In most places, breeders may be your only resource to get a kunekune, since they are not seen in rescue facilities everywhere. But since they are more popular in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, if you live there you may be able to rescue one.
