Important! Please Read:
- I regret that I will need to scale back the photo gallery. As of March 5, 2007, photo submission will be limited to two pictures per pet.
- Please follow the directions below regarding photo submissions. If I do not receive all the information required, including a copy of the permission terms (the part that starts "I certify..."), I will not be able to use your photos.
- Please only send exotic pet photos! (i.e. anything that is not a dog, cat, horse, fish, or bird. Please note: since there is now a Pet Birds site at About, I am no longer adding bird photos though I did in the past).
- Submitting photos does not guarantee their inclusion in the gallery. Please make sure your submissions are clear (not blurry) and of reasonably good quality (though I understand how hard it can be get good photographs of squirmy active pets!).
- I will only be updating galleries on a limited basis, probably only a few species at one time. However, all submissions will be kept on file and I will let you know if/when I add your photos to the galleries.
To Submit Pictures:
1. Copy and paste the form included below (everything between "start submission email text" and "end of submission email text") into an email message.
2. Fill out all of the requested information. The only information that will be published is the pets name and species, and your name (as indicated) in a copyright notice. Your email address will not be shared with anyone. If you wish, you can send a bit of information about your pet(s). I may edit any descriptions, however.
3. Read the About.com user agreement in the submission form (the part that starts out "I certify that I am the author or sole owner") before submitting photos. You must agree to these terms for your photos to be used
4. Save photos as JPG files. Any size photo is fine, but I will resize or crop larger photos to a size of 400 pixels.
5. Once the form is complete, include your photo(s) as an attachment to the email containing the form, and send to exoticpets.guide@about.com
