Adrienne Kruzer is a Registered Veterinary Technician who has worked on opossums, skunks, ferrets, hedgehogs, chinchillas, reptiles, amphibians, birds including duck, geese, swans, and turkeys, coati, foxes, sugar gliders, flying squirrels, degus, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, mice, rats, gerbils, and more.

She is a member of the Association of Zoo Veterinary Technicians, the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America, and National Geographic, as well as an "Elephant Advocate" for the award-winning documentary "The Elephant in the Living Room", and regularly attends continuing education conferences.


As the Head Evening and Exotics Registered Veterinary Technician at the 9 doctor animal hospital she currently works at, Adrienne performs a number of duties on several species of animals. She educates clients, performs lab work, phlebotomy, anesthesia, radiography, dentals and many other technician duties. She has worked at a handful of small animal clinics where she also worked with exotic pets, as well as an internship where she was trained to handle and treat birds of prey. Much of her pocket pet knowledge was also acquired during her several years in management at a local pet store.

Adrienne volunteers at a raptor center where she assists in medicating, feeding, and cleaning the injured and education birds. She also speaks at a yearly career day for inner city children, and stays busy with her many pets and other activities.

She has contributed tips and photos to the Veterinary Technician magazine and an article of hers was published in the 2009 winter issue of the NAVTA Journal.


She earned her Associate of Arts with a concentration in Psychology and her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology from Cuyahoga Community College.

She passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam to be awarded her medical license as a Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Ohio and completes continuing education courses to stay current on medical advancements.
