Pet rats have four incisors, no canines, no premolars, and twelve molars.  They don't typically have issues with their teeth unless they were born with misaligned teeth or suffer trauma to their teeth or jaw.  These types of problems can cause incisors to not be worn down and grow to extreme lengths, causing harm to your pet rat.  To learn more about your pet rat's teeth read the new article, Rat Teeth.
