Golden Globe Giveaways

Follow me on:

Many celebrities were given piglets in addition to their usual swag at the 67th Golden Globe Awards as long as they signed up for a one hour course on how to take care of them.

After receiving initial false information from a press release, I have learned these are not regular Pot-bellied pigs, but rather Royal Dandie Miniature pet pigs. (Thanks Holly!) Royal Dandies average between 29 and 39 lbs., and are a great alternative to the larger variety. There are even smaller Dandies called Dandie Extremes.

I am surprised that you are not upset about this situation! You think fickle celebrities would keep their piglets forever?! They will be discarded once the celebrity is bored of the idea of having a piglet!

Patricia, I most definitely am upset about this. I agree. I don’t think they should be offered up for free, and a one hour course is not a long enough time to learn about the needs of these little piglets. I was just reporting the facts. Thanks for reading!
