How Did You Name Your Pet Pig?

In our continuing series on pet names, let's talk about names for pigs. There are quite a few great names in the pig names list I started before, but I'm always interested in how people chose their names. Did you have names picked out before you got your pigs? Or did you wait to see what your pigs were like before settling on a name? Please share your pigs' names by adding them to the comments section below. Feel free to share how you chose names too! I hope to compile all these names to update the master list of pig names, as well.

I NAMED MY POTBELLY PIG “PRISCILLA” BECAUSE SHE WAS BORN TO BE SPOILED MY ME (I WAS ON A WAITING LIST FOR HER BIRTH SEVERAL MONTHS) AND SHE IS QUITE A “PRISSY” LITTLE PIG TO SAY THE LEAST (SHE LOVES PINK)!!
My first pig was named Pork Chop. Then we got a male named Kielbasa. They had babies and the two that we kept were named Vienna (female) and Brat (male - think Bratwurst)

My dad wants to name him bacon but I’m a vegan and I think its mean so I’m thinking of naming him Hector or talon I can’t decide

I named my Kune pig Portia

We just named our new pig baby “Bob Evans” or Bob the Pig for short. He loves his name and oinks whenever he hears it!
