How did You Name Your Gerbil?

In our continuing series on pet names, let's talk about gerbil names. There are quite a few great gerbil names in the gerbil names list I started before, but I'm always interested in how people chose their names. Did you have names picked out before you got your gerbils? Or did you wait to see what your gerbils were like before settling on a name? Please share your gerbils' names by adding them to the comments section below. Feel free to note how you chose names too! I hope to compile all these names to update the master list of gerbil names, as well.

We named our Gerbils…Freddy, Barney and Gillian.
We named our gerbil, Einstein because he looks smart and if we get another one, we can name him Albert.

We kept a breeding pair of gerbils named Frick and Frack for years. Among their named offspring we had an Elvis and a Dylan. We also had a pair named Stan and Wendy, who produced one named offspring, Bebe (Pronounced BAY-bay).

I named my gerbil Emily as they is a girl I know who looks excatly like a gerbil it’s ammmmazzzzzzzing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE GERBILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have named our Gerbils, Oscar who is black and Stuart who is white. We all live in Oman
My gerbils names are Winston Churchill, Neville Chamberlain and King George.
We just named the one we got today. She is soldi black and we named her Luna (Moon)
I have 19 gerbils at the moment named Marshmallow, Candy, Floss, Crumble, Marble, Lunar, Rhubarb, Custard, Alvin, Twiglet, Biscuit, Domino, Diamond, Smudge, Cookie, Badger, Sugar, Spice, Solo. I have previously owned a Stuart, Flash, Zoro, Pepsi, Chisel, Sonic, Pumpkin. As you can tell i’m addicted to gerbils
we named our gerbils Crunch(male) and Munch (female)
My gerbils are called crash & eddie from ice age, i love that film and then misty because she is black, plus they just fitted when i got them. !!
i am getting 2 gerbils. i am naming them Suger and Spice or Tic and Tac.

I had 3 gerbils named Sprinkles(black and white), Cupcake(honey color), and Marshmallow(light gray). The one I have now is named Butterscotch(honey color)!!!!
I got my gerbil 4 days ago, she is black and I named her Bella from Twilight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!=D I LOVE TWILIGHT!!!(:

We just got two gerbiles named Domino(black and white) and brownie(gray-brown)!!! I also think Edward and Bella are good names for a pair of gerbils.

im hopefully getting a black or white gerbil tht i will probs call bullet. i used to own a gerbil called stompy, he was a rescue and his last owners were crap so nobody could pick him up. he also bit a chunk out of a male vets finger and the vet was scared of him. lol!!! GO STOMPY I LOVE YOU R.I.P.
