What You Need Before You Get a Pet Hamster

Wednesday April 16, 2008
Before you decide to bring home a hamster, make a special trip to get everything you'll need to take care of your hamster. Get everything set up and ready, and then go get your hamster. This will help minimize the stress on your new pet -- after all, it is pretty scary being removed from your current home, being moved, and being introduced to a new home. Making your hamster wait while you get everything set up may just add to the stress, and you want to be able to allow your hamster some quiet time to get to know his or her new cage without having to fiddle with getting everything ready. Here is a list of everything you should get (and set up) before going out to get your new hamster.
