Argentinian black and white tegus are large lizards that require a serious commitment. However, among tegus and other large lizards, Argentinian tegus are quite docile and easy to tame and make reasonably good pets (beware the similarly named Columbian black and white tegu, which does not share the Argentinian's nice temperament).
