Now That's a Case of Mistaken Identity!

Friday August 17, 2007
Police in Vancouver, B.C. responded to a call that there was a 15 foot (4.5 metre ) crocodile in somebody's backyard. When they arrived they did not find a crocodile at all, but a little bearded dragon just one foot long. The owners of this dragon sound sincere and caring, but it also sounds from the story like they just put the bearded dragon out in the backyard to get some sun. While bearded dragons can certainly benefit from time in the great outdoors on warm sunny days, they should only be left unattended in a secure enclosure where shade is also available. Hopefully, the person who found the bearded dragon is over their shock, and the owners of the bearded dragon will make sure he never wanders off again.
