The chameleon in this video shows the unique hunting style of these lovely lizards. This video is a bit blurry in places, but it shows the speed and range of the chameleon's tongue in a "striking" manner. Watching chameleons eat crickets often leaves me feeling a bit sorry for the crickets, actually. The crickets are kind of minding their own business, or maybe thinking they are at safe distance and planning an escape, and "Wham!", they are lunch.

The fellow is this video is a Jackson's chameleon, which is one of my favorites because of their unique horns, but I find all chameleons beautiful. However, despite all their wonderful attributes, they can be quite difficult to care for and keep healthy, as pointed out in Chameleons as Pets.

I'm always on the lookout for more exotic pet videos on YouTube. Do you have videos of your exotic pets that you want to share? Submitting a YouTube video is easy -- all you have to do is tell us a little about yourself and provide the URL where your video can be found on YouTube, via this Video Submission Form.
