Rats or Mice?

Many people think of mice and rats as pests rather than pets. Ironically, I see them as both: I vigorously wage war against the wild mice that periodically try to make themselves at home in my house (yuck!). Yet I still miss my pet mice (who don't live very long, sadly) and if I had more time I would get happily get more. In fact, if I had even more time (and space) I would definitely get rats, a pet I have always wanted. Both mice and rats are quite social and playful creatures that can make great pets.
