An article titled "Seven Reasons Reptiles Make Perfect Pets" is a terribly simplistic look at the needs of pet reptiles and the commitment needed to care for one. Here's their summary of reptiles as pets: "They are simple to care for, require little food and are easy to handle." Really? Maybe for a handful of species this is almost true. But what about this: "...if your reptile becomes too much for you to handle, many reptile stores will take them back." So much for encouraging responsible ownership, research, and commitment to all pets!
