I Don't Know What to Say about This One...

Tuesday March 2, 2004
Authorities believe a man in Germany was killed and partly eaten by his collection of exotic pets, which included a black widow spider along with something like 200 other spiders, reptiles, and poisonous frogs. It is believed the black widow delivered the fatal bite (possibly after a heater broke some tanks), and the others (some of whom roamed free in the home) were just taking advantage of the "opportunity." Note to the squeamish: do NOT read this news item (I kind of wish I hadn't).
Slightly Off Topic Rant : as the owner of possibly the sweetest dog I have ever known, who happens to be a pit bull, I was doubly offended by the statement that his pets were "so aggressive they are the equivalent of a pit-bull." Sigh. If you would like to learn more about pit bulls, pop over to About Dogs.
